The Stones And Leaves Experience

Continuing with the photos I took the other day, I decided to experiment with two very different textures: stones and leaves.

I had a feeling it wouldn’t be easy to get a good result, and it turned out to be quite a challenge to make these two natural elements work together harmoniously.

The blending modes that worked best for the abstract look I was aiming for were from the hue and saturation group (HSV) and the color group (LCH).

I got several interesting results, but the one I’m sharing here is my favorite because it strikes a balance between my initial goal of abstraction and the ability to appreciate the different shapes in the composition.
