About me

My name is Fran.

I've been working as a video editor and cameraman since 1995, and before that, I had photography as a hobby.

Textures have always captivated me, and I eagerly incorporated them into my video editing and digital pieces. Losing my job as an editor last year was a setback, but also an opportunity to dedicate more time to digital art, an activity where textures play a fundamental role.

Over the years, I've become particularly drawn to techniques that reduce image sharpness and definition. These techniques include incorporating textured overlays, especially those with a grungy feel, and applying blur and noise filters.

"Seeking beauty through image degradation" became my motto.

Now, I'm building my own collection of textures, and on this site, along with my various artistic attempts, I'll be publishing some texture collections for sale, as well as a few free collections, both for personal and commercial use, no attribution required (that goes for the free collections too).
