Study: Textured Colors

This time I am not posting a specific work. I am studying and experimenting with different ways textures interact with solid colors to use them better in the future.

Using the following image, I created a grid by overlaying a horizontally flipped copy of the same image.

Next, I added various textures, and by alternating different blending modes between the layers of solid colors, I achieved the best results mainly with the Darken Only, Color, Hue, and Lightness modes.
